A SOLDIER'S WIFE'S PRAYER

I pray that when his time is up he is here with me.
That he will walk through the door to see us one more time.
I pray that you protect him from all evil doers
That your hands protect him from bombs, bullets, and aggressions.

I bow my head to ask you to forgive him
he might not pray as i do
but he is hoping for your blessings
as i am

Your grace has been more than comforting to me
your love has made my pain disappear
your protection has kept me warm
your faith in me has kept me alive

I ask that you show him what you have done for me
oh gracious God
I pray that you watch his back as he watches others
I hope you let him know i love him

If it is in your plans for him not to return
I pray you help me through the pain
I hope you heal me from the hate, anger, and suffering
I pray for your forgiveness for what i might say and do

I pray that you will reunite us in heaven above
that he will meet me at the gates
so one day our family will be together again
that our love and life will be shared again

I pray this prayer not only as a christian
I pray this prayer as a soldiers wife
i know you are watching over me
and this matter is in your hands

I praise you for my blessings
I praise you for my joys
i will praise you till i die
and i pray you bless my family
